Who: All Boy Scout Troops from David Crockett District

Sessions:

• Scoutmaster Specific – $10.00 Fri/Sat
• Introduction to Oudoor Leader Skills IOLS – $15.00 Sat/Sun

When: March 5-6-7

Where: St John Retreat, Bellville

Who: All scout leaders, including Webelos Leaders, who are going to server in either a Scoutmaster or ASM role.

Remember, Mandatory training is coming in 2011, BE PREPARED!

The rules for our 2010 District Pinewood Derby have been posted in the “Forms” section of this web site.

The Top finishers in each Pack are qualified to compete at the District Pinewood Derby, and must comply with these rules to be eligible for competition at the District level.

Join me in congratulating our first Distinguished Commissioner in a LONG time, Maggie Thuesen!

Maggie is “the hardest working person in the David Crockett District” and a key scouter that helps make the district go. She has many years as a dedicated scouter and well deserving of this award.

Requirements for the Distinguished Commissioner award include;

• Completed Commmssioner Basic Training
• Earn the Commissioners Key
• Complete 5 years of service on the Commissioner team
• Achieve key metrics in assigned unit recharter and quality attainments.

Print a copy and nominate deserving leaders NOW! Deadline is at the December “Dutch Oven Cookoff” Roundtable.

Over 223 Cub Scouts attended the 2009 Cub-O-Ree at Camp Happy Hollow. Counting parents and staff, there were over 500 at the event! Great weather was also featured as part of the program…
